Choir Director
Ms. Steadman graduated Spearman High School in 1999, and attended West Texas A&M University as a Vocal Performance major. She is blessed to have amazing teachers in my life including Dr. Cloyce Kuhnert(WTAMU) and Dr. George Biffle(WTAMU, Polk Street United Methodist Church). She graduated from WTAMU in 2006.
Ms. Steadman holds a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance.
Ms. Steadman is thrilled to be joining the faculty of Friona High School in the fall of 2018. She will be teaching High School Junior Varsity and Varsity Choir, Junior High Choir, helping the band as assistant band director, and an Advanced Music Theory class.
Ms. Steadman taught at Holy Cross Catholic Academy for 6 years previous to Friona HS. She also is the assistant music director of the outdoor musical drama TEXAS in Palo Duro Canyon. She has appeared on stage with Amarillo Opera and has been a soloist with Amarillo Master Chorale, West Texas A&M University, and Chamber Music Amarillo. She also is a vocalist, staff singer, and childrens choir director at her church Polk Street United Methodist Church.
When Ms. Steadman is not teaching she loves to visit her mom, grandma, 2 sisters, brother-in-law, and precious twin niece and nephew in New Mexico. She also loves visiting her granny in Spearman, TX her home town. She is a huge advocate for God in whom she owes all her blessings. She also loves to walk, spend time with her friends, and attend musical happenings in Amarillo.
